Good morning,

Have you ever felt unqualified or unsure about what God is calling you to do? You’re not alone. One of the most fascinating stories in scripture is that of King Saul—Israel’s first king. Saul had everything going for him—he was tall, handsome, wealthy, and chosen by God. Yet when it came time to step into his calling, where was he? Hiding among the baggage. (1 Samuel 8 &9)

This Week’s Focus: Stop Hiding and Start Trusting

Saul’s story is a mirror for many of us. God has called us, anointed us, and placed us exactly where we are for a purpose. But like Saul, we can let insecurity, doubt, and excuses keep us from stepping into all God has for us.

Here’s the truth: It’s not your qualifications that matter; it’s God’s Spirit working through you.

Practical Steps to Step Out of Hiding:

1. Recognize God’s Calling on Your Life:
   God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. You are uniquely gifted for the place you’re in. Reflect on areas where you’ve felt God’s nudge but have hesitated.

2. Stop Comparing and Start Trusting:
   Saul’s insecurity stemmed from seeing himself through the world’s lens instead of God’s. Let go of comparison and focus on who God says you are.

3. Be filled with the Spirit:
   The turning point in Saul’s story came when the Spirit of God came upon him, empowering him to act boldly. Spend time in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with courage and clarity.

4. Take the First Step of Obedience:
   Often, we hide because the task seems too big or overwhelming. Start small. Make the introduction, have the conversation, or serve in that ministry. Trust God to guide your steps.

God has given you everything you need to step out of hiding and into His purpose for your life. The same Spirit that empowered Saul is available to you today.

Take a moment to pray today:
“Lord, I surrender my excuses, my fears, and my doubts. Fill me with your Spirit and give me the boldness to step into the calling you’ve placed on my life. I trust in Your strength and not my own. Amen.”
