Become a Place Where God Loves to Move

Discover how to welcome the presence of God into your life for miracles, healing, and transformation.

Good morning,

This week, I want to share something powerful from our recent teaching: How do we become a place where God loves to move?

We see this question answered in Luke 4, where two groups encounter Jesus. In Nazareth, the people reject Him. In Capernaum, they welcome Him with open hearts, bringing the sick and broken, and witnessing miracles. Why the difference?

It’s all about hunger.

When we truly desire the presence of God, miracles begin to flow—not just a few but abundantly. Simon Peter’s home became a house of miracles because he welcomed Jesus, believed in His power, and created space for His presence.

This Week’s Focus:

How to Create a Place Where God Moves in Power

Here are practical steps to cultivate a life where God’s presence is welcome and His power flows:

1. Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

John the Baptist’s command is simple yet profound: “Behold the Lamb of God.” (John 1:29)
Take time each day to focus on Christ. Reflect on His sacrifice, His love, and His lordship. In the morning, meditate on His Word. During the day, think on His goodness. In the evening, thank Him for His faithfulness.

Action Step:
This week, start your mornings with five minutes of stillness. Simply pray, “Jesus, I behold You. Lead me today.”

2. Cultivate Hunger for God’s Presence

In Capernaum, the people recognized their need for Jesus and pursued Him. Their faith unlocked miracles. Are you hungry for God? Do you bring your needs and the needs of others to Him, trusting in His power to work?

Action Step:
Pray for someone in your life this week who is hurting. Bring their need before Jesus and believe for His healing power.

3. Create Space for His Glory

Just as Simon Peter’s house became a place of miracles, our lives can become dwelling places for God’s presence. But this requires making space—through prayer, worship, and surrender.

Action Step:
Set aside time this week to worship God. Turn on a worship song and let your heart focus solely on Him.

A Thought to Reflect On:
When we behold the Lamb and hunger for His presence, our homes, workplaces, and churches can become places where God loves to move. Miracles flow where hearts are open and faith abounds.
